William P. Dunn

Associate Attorney

William Dunn was born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He attended New Mexico State University to receive his undergraduate degree in History. William earned his Juris Doctor from the University of New Mexico School of Law and was admitted to the New Mexico State Bar in 2023. During his time in law school, William earned a place on the Dean's List and actively participated in various organizations, serving as the Articles Editor of the Tribal Law Journal and as a member of the Historical Preservation Law Society.

William focused his law school education on elder law and criminal justice. As a Clinical Law Student at the University of New Mexico Economic Justice Legal Clinic, William assisted clients with critical end-of-life documents, advocated for financial relief for indigent clients, and guided individuals through complex eviction proceedings. Additionally, his internship at the New Mexico Law Offices of the Public Defender allowed him to gain valuable courtroom experience, working alongside attorneys during court appearances and drafting essential motions.

During law school, William also served as a contractor to several non-profit organizations, playing a pivotal role in supporting rural tribal communities in workforce housing and infrastructure projects, and developing various economic development and strategic planning blueprints.

William now serves as a board member of the Elder Law Section of the New Mexico State Bar and is a frequent attendee of the New Mexico Estate Planning Council.
