PBWS Attorney Named to Special Needs Alliance

PBWS Attorney Named to Special Needs Alliance

Albuquerque, NM —  January 6, 2021 — Attorney Margaret “Peggy” A. Graham of the law firm of Pregenzer, Baysinger, Wideman and Sale, PC (PBWS Law) has been selected as the newest member of the Special Needs Alliance.

Established in 2002, the Special Needs Alliance (SNA) is a national, non-profit collective of many of America’s leading disability and public benefits attorneys.  Currently, in 48 states, SNA members work to secure Medicaid and other public benefits for individuals with special needs. The SNA’s mission is to help enhance the quality of life for people with disabilities by coordinating private resources with public benefit programs through special needs planning and trusts.

“It is an honor to be part of an organization that I’m passionate about,” said Graham. “I believe in helping others work through special needs legal problems so that they can move forward with peace of mind.”

Membership to SNA is selective and competitive and is extended by invitation only.  Attorneys must meet specific criteria to ensure that SNA clients are served with the utmost professionalism and compassion. Criteria include a minimum number of years of practice in the special needs area and proven involvement with disability advocacy organizations.  Many SNA attorneys have personal experience with individuals with special needs—either as a sibling or parent.

“As the mother of a special needs child and special needs law practitioner, I bring a unique perspective to SNA,” said Graham. “I look forward to continuing to serve the special needs community.”

Graham has been with PBWS Law since 2015 and has been instrumental in developing the firm’s practice areas, especially regarding guardianships and conservatorships, special education law, special needs trusts and planning, and fiduciary litigation.

Graham serves as a board member for Alta Mira Specialized Family Services, the Albuquerque Rotary Charitable Foundation, the New Mexico Estate Planning Council, the Senior Citizen’s Law Office, and Mandy’s Special Farm. Gr is a past board member of the New Mexico Women’s Bar Association and is past president of the New Mexico Guardianship Association. Graham has served as a board member for other charitable organizations in New Mexico, including the Ronald McDonald House of Charities of New Mexico where she served as Secretary, Vice-Chair and Chairperson.  She is also a member of the Cerebral Palsy Parents Association of Albuquerque.
