This position is responsible for extensive telephone contact, interviewing callers regarding their new case, entering potential and new clients and new matters for existing clients into our case management system, scheduling new clients for consultations with attorneys, preparing and sending required documentation to clients, follow-up with clients regarding missing documentation and upcoming appointments and other general office duties.

Candidate must:

• be proficient in Microsoft Office
• have great organizational skills
• have ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• be comfortable being on calls most of the day
• have ability to work independently
• be extremely detail oriented.
• Bilingual a plus but not required.

Duties for this position include:

• Financial work on fiduciary cases including payment of bills, deposits, entry of financial information into financial accounting software and preparation of annual reports to clients.
• Preparation of Estate Administration Final Accountings.
• Work with tax professionals to provide information necessary for tax returns
• Maintain case files
• Other general office duties

Experience in probate, estate planning, and guardianships/conservatorships a plus.

Duties/Responsibilities include:

• Document and case management
• Drafting of pleadings, correspondence and related documents
• Maintaining and monitoring docketing calendars
• Extensive communication with clients, court personnel, and attorneys both verbally and in writing

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Paralegal degree/certificate
• Ability to multi-task
• Strong litigation support skills
• Familiarity with Odyssey and SOPA/ResearchNM
• Highly organized and detail oriented
• Knowledge of State and Federal Court rules and filing procedures
• Ability to work independently and under deadlines
• Exceptional computer skills and extremely proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
